Who is Eligible

1. Students whose overall family income should not exceed8 Lakh per annum.

2. The student should not be availing any other scholarship from any other source.

3. The student should be pursuing undergraduate courses (First Year) in any stream from recognized institution within or outside J&K/Ladakh.

4. The student has to be among the top 20 percent in the 12th class result declared previously.

Last Date is 3oth December.

The quantum of Scholarship is 10,000/-per annum for undergraduate courses and 20,000/-per annum during Post Graduate courses

Only 94 Applications of Fresh claim & 731 Applications of Renewal claim have been submitted on the National Scholarship Portal by the concerned student beneficiaries as on 12-12-2020 against the allotted quota of 768 & 721 respectively while as National Scholarship Portal (NSP) shall be closed on 30-12-2020 & as such the left out eligible student beneficiaries shall be deprived of the scholarship benefit under CSSS.

Further, it is pertinent to mention that even the Fresh/ Renewal claims submitted by the students on the NSP are also pending for verification at Institute level. In the backdrop of the above facts, all the concerned eligible beneficiaries of GDC Khansahib  are informed to apply and submit fresh/renewal on the NSP by or before the closing date i.e. 30-12-2020 thereby ensuring utilization of full quota of 768 scholarships.

Instructions to apply on National Scholarship Portal for

CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

1. Firstly, open web site National Scholarship Portal (http://scholarships.gov.in).

2. Select “Department of Higher Education”.

3. Select “Apply” for CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

4. The students of year 2020, who had not applied on NSP Portal, are required to register themselves with the option “New Registration” on the NSP Portal and then select the option “Login to Apply” to get their application Id ‘S.

5. After getting registration no. , the candidate of year 2020 have to chose “login for fresh application”,

6. The candidates of previous academic year are not required to register again themselves or create new registration ID again on the NSP Portal i.e. the registration IDs of last year  will be applicable. The already registered students have to select the option “Apply for Renewal” for applying the scholarship.

7. The candidates of Kashmir Division and winter Zone areas of Jammu Division who have passed 12th class examination in session Annual Regular 2019, are advised to fill the passing year 2020 while applying online for grant of scholarship under CSSS.
