The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Khansahib in collaboration with J&K State Aids Control Society, celebrated the Youth Day On the 12^th of August 2017. The theme of this year’s event was “Youth Building Peace”. In this connection, the College had organized two activities, which included “Poster Making” and “Taking out a Rally to the Main Market of Khansahib”.

The worthy Principal Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone addressed the students and reiterated the importance of the youth in building a peaceful nation. He stressed that for establishing a peaceful nation, we first need to start with ourselves and establish peace in our families. Only then, we can have a peaceful society.  Differences made on the basis of caste, creed and social status leads to misunderstandings and conflict. We need to listen to others first and improve our levels of tolerance.

Education can prosper only in a peaceful world. Our personality has multiple dimensions and our professional success in only one aspect of our personality. Successful people have a balanced personality and sound moral footing. Quoting the verses of Holy Quran, the worthy principal remarked that true peace comes from the remembrance of the God. Only true peace can lead to balanced personalities and professional success.

Soon after the address of the worthy principal, accompanied by some faculty members, a rally of the students carrying posters and banners reflecting the messages of peace was taken from the college to the main market of Khansahib. The rally culminated at the college campus.
