GDC Khansahib conducted two workshops on Covid-19 in collaboration with the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India
Govt. Degree College Khansahib, Budgam, organised two back to back e-workshops on Covid-19 and response mechanisms in collaboration with the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India. The first program was conducted on 22nd June on the theme “Beat Covid Campaign”. Dr. Pallavi Kaul, faculty at Amity University, UP, and a senior consultant with MGNCRE was the chief resource person. She emphasised on fighting the pandemic with active collaboration from different segments of society including academic institutions. The second e-workshop on the theme “Psycho-social Support for Covid-19 Pandemic Condition” was conducted on 27th June, whereby, Mr. Ajay from MGNCRE familiarised the participants with different soft skills which shall help in reaching out to the Covid affected people. Under the guidelines of these workshops student volunteers will be arranged into five teams on: Hospital Management, Non-Hospital Management, Family/Emotional Support, Information Sharing about Medical Essentials, and Communicating with Covid Patients. After compiling the data from these teams our college will submit a report to the MGNCRE. These workshops were conducted under the patronage of Dr. Syed Tanvir Indrabi, Principal-GDC Khansahib. These events were coordinated by Dr. Sajad Padder, assistant professor of Political Science at the same college.
